Click "Start Webcam Toy"

Click the big pink "Start Webcam Toy — It's Free" button in the centre of the screen. This opens the live camera interface inside your browser.

Allow Camera Permission

Your browser will ask: "Allow webcamtoy.online to use your camera?" — click Allow. If you accidentally click Block, see our fix guide. Your camera footage never leaves your device.

Choose a Webcam Effect

Browse the effects panel on the right side of the camera. Click any effect — Vintage Film, B&W, Pink Filter, Mirror Mode and more — to apply it live to your camera feed.

Take Your Photo

Press the large pink shutter button 📷 at the bottom of the tool. A flash fires and your photo is captured with the selected webcam effect applied. The photo appears in the strip below.

Save or Share

Click ⬇️ Save to download the photo to your device as a JPG. Click 📤 Share to use your device's native share sheet (mobile). Or click any photo in the strip to download it individually.

The 4-Shot Strip mode captures four photos in rapid succession — exactly like a real photo booth. Here's how to use it:

Start the webcam (steps 1–3 above)
Choose your effect from the effects panel
Click "📸 4-Shot Strip" button in the controls bar
The tool automatically snaps 4 photos, 1.2 seconds apart
All 4 photos appear in the photo strip below the camera
Download each one individually or save them all

How to Mirror Your Webcam

By default, the webcam is mirrored so it feels natural (like looking in a mirror). To toggle mirroring on or off, click the 🪞 Mirror button in the controls bar below the camera.

Can I use Webcam Toy without a webcam?⌄

The live effects require a camera. On mobile, your front-facing camera is used. On desktop, a built-in or USB webcam is required.

How do I change webcam effects?⌄

Once the camera is active, click any effect chip in the panel on the right of the camera feed. The effect applies instantly to your live video. You can switch effects as many times as you like before taking a photo.

How do I download my photo?⌄

After taking a photo, click the ⬇️ Save button in the controls bar. On mobile, it will download to your camera roll or Downloads folder. You can also click any photo thumbnail in the strip to download it.
