WebcamToy.Online is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights. Most importantly: we never access, store, or transmit your webcam footage.
Camera & Webcam Data
When you use the webcam tool on WebcamToy.Online:
- Your camera feed is accessed by your browser using the WebRTC
getUserMediaAPI - All video processing (effects, filters, photo capture) happens locally inside your browser
- No video or image data is transmitted to our servers at any point
- Photos are only saved when you explicitly click the Download button — they are saved to your device only
- We do not store, analyze, or use any biometric or facial recognition data
Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our site is used. This collects:
- Pages visited and time on site
- Browser type, device type, and screen size
- Approximate location (country/region level only)
- Referral source (how you found the site)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for:
- Google Analytics session tracking (anonymous)
- Your preferences (e.g., selected webcam effect) stored in
sessionStorage— this is cleared when you close your browser tab
Third-Party Services
- Google Fonts — loaded from fonts.googleapis.com to display Poppins typography
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics
Children's Privacy
WebcamToy.Online is appropriate for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The tool requires no registration and collects no personally identifiable information.
